What Makes Tesla Wall Connector Different
Two things matter most: how it integrates with Tesla’s ecosystem, and how much faster it can charge when your electrical system supports it.
Smart Integration
This isn’t just a fancy outlet. The Wall Connector shows up in your car’s screen and your phone app.
- Schedule charging for off-peak hours
- See energy usage and charging status
- Get alerts when charging finishes
- Keeps Tesla’s smart ownership experience intact
Faster Charging
Mobile Connector maxes around 32A. Wall Connector can reach 48A when your electrical panel can support it.
Model 3 & Model Y
These are the Teslas we install chargers for most often. The Standard Range versions charge at 32 amps max,
so they don't use the Wall Connector's full capacity. Long Range and Performance models can handle 48 amps.
A Model 3 Long Range adds about 44 miles of range per hour with our typical installation. Model Y is similar at
42 miles per hour. Even the Standard Range versions charge noticeably faster than with the Mobile Connector.
- Standard Range charging up to 32A (vehicle-limited)
- Long Range / Performance charging up to 48A (setup-dependent)
- Typical install adds ~44 mi/hr (Model 3 LR) and ~42 mi/hr (Model Y)
Model S & Model X
The bigger Teslas also benefit from faster home charging. Model S gets about 34 miles per hour,
Model X about 30 miles per hour. These cars have larger batteries, so faster charging makes a bigger difference
for daily convenience.
Model S and Model X owners often drive longer distances, making reliable home charging even more important.
No more planning routes around Supercharger locations for routine driving.
- Typical charging adds ~34 mi/hr (Model S) and ~30 mi/hr (Model X)
- Great for larger battery packs and longer daily drives
- Reliable overnight charging reduces dependence on public charging
Cybertruck
We've had several customers ask about Cybertruck compatibility. The Wall Connector will work with Cybertruck when
deliveries start. If you're on the waiting list, installing now means you're ready when your truck arrives.
The electrical requirements for Cybertruck are similar to other Teslas, so current Wall Connector installations should
handle it fine. Tesla designed the system to be future-compatible.
- Wall Connector compatibility built for future Tesla models
- Install now to be ready when your vehicle arrives
- Current setups typically align with Tesla charging requirements
